I can't edit my name, bio and location.

Well I"m trying to put a custom gamer pic on my profile so going to Xbox.com won't help!

Hi all,

If you are looking to edit your Motto, Bio, Name or Location on your Xbox Live profile then you'll need one of the following devices to do so:

Xbox 360

Windows Phone 7 or Windows Phone 8 device

A laptop, tablet or PC running Windows 8 that meets the requirements posted here

Android device that meets the requirements posted here

iOS device that meets the requirements posted here

If you do have one of those devices, then just follow the steps below and you'll have your profile updated in no time!

Xbox 360

1). Sign in to a profile on an Xbox 360 console.

2). Press the guide button on your controller.

3). Select the "Settings" tab.

4). Select "Profile".

5). Select "Edit Profile".

6). Select the desired profile section you would like to change.

7). Press the Start button when done editing to save your changes and you're good to go!

Windows Phone 7 device

1). Launch the Games app that is preinstalled with the phone's OS. No need to download this app from the app marketplace.

2). Swipe to the right until you are where your avatar stands and then click on the "profile" option.

3). Click on the little pencil icon at the bottom-middle section of the screen to edit your profile.

4). When finished with the edit, click on the little floppy disc icon to save your changes and you're good to go!

Windows Phone 8 device

1). Launch the Games app that is preinstalled with the phone's OS. No need to download this app from the app marketplace.

2). Swipe to the right until you are where your avatar stands and then click on the little trophy icon that shows your achievements and games played list.

3). Swipe to the right until you are on the profile page and click on the "bio" option.

4). Click on the little pencil icon at the bottom-middle of the screen to edit your profile.

5). When finished with the edit, click on the little floopy disc icon to save your changes and you're good to go!

Windows 8 device (laptop, tablet, PC)

1). Launch the Games app that is preinstalled with the Windows 8 OS. No need to download this app from the app marketplace.

2). Scroll to the left where your avatar stands and select the "Edit Profile" option.

3). Make the desired changes to your profile, click "Save" and you're good to go!

Android devices

1). Download the Xbox 360 SmartGlass app and then launch the app.

2). Sign in to your Xbox Live account if prompted.

iOS devices

5). Click on the "Edit Profile" option.

6). Make the desired changes to your profile, click "Save" and you're good to go!
