    I can't download Xbox 360 games on Xbox One


    Whenever I try buying a Xbox 360 game or downloading a free Xbox 360 game with Gold on my Xbox One, it keeps telling me that it can't proceed because I don't have a valid payment option, which is not true, I have. Whether I try directly on my Xbox One
    console or on the Microsoft Store website, the same problem happens. I tried everything, I erased my payment option and entered it back, I added one, nothing works. Help me please!!!!!

    No, sorry, you can't play Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One, even if they are digitally downloaded. At this point in time the Xbox One isn't backwards compatible. The games are linked to your account but the Xbox One simply can't run Xbox 360 games.

    Where did the Xbox 360 games come from? Another Xbox 360?

    If they were downloaded via an Xbox One/Series console you can't play these games on an Xbox 360. Firstly the drive wouldn't be configured for an Xbox 360. Secondly, Xbox 360 games downloaded via an Xbox One or Series X|S are actually 360 games that have been converted to run on an Xbox One, they are no longer native Xbox 360 games.

    why can't xbox 360 games be downloaded onto the xbox one? can't be much different then what they have in the game library on the xbox one.

    and connection speed may play a part on my xbox one- just not on my xbox 360, pc, tablets, etc.
