I can't download Xbox 360 games on Xbox One

Discus and support I can't download Xbox 360 games on Xbox One in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; When I try to download an Xbox 360 game to my Xbox One, I get a message that reads: Your account is unable to make this type of purchase on Xbox.com....     I can't download Xbox 360 games on Xbox One


    When I try to download an Xbox 360 game to my Xbox One, I get a message that reads:

    Your account is unable to make this type of purchase on Xbox.com. Please complete this transaction from your Xbox.

    I, however, have not owned an Xbox 360 before. I've tried downloading on my Xbox One and Xbox.com.

    Does anyone know how to solve this?

    You can't pre download games for the Xbox one because the Xbox one isn't out yet plus you can only play 360 games on 360 you can't play 360 games on the Xbox one an I'm not sure about your other question

    Try deleting your Xbox Live profile from your Xbox One, then download it again. It's strange and never happened to me. Can you please tell me what game is it?

    Hey TheOneRafiSMS! This message is usually displayed if you have a child account. If that is the case, changing your age won't resolve the issue, you will need to make purchases on a 360 console. Thanks!

    No, sorry, you can't play Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One, even if they are digitally downloaded. At this point in time the Xbox One isn't backwards compatible. The games are linked to your account but the Xbox One simply can't run Xbox 360 games.

    Where did the Xbox 360 games come from? Another Xbox 360?

    If they were downloaded via an Xbox One/Series console you can't play these games on an Xbox 360. Firstly the drive wouldn't be configured for an Xbox 360. Secondly, Xbox 360 games downloaded via an Xbox One or Series X|S are actually 360 games that have been converted to run on an Xbox One, they are no longer native Xbox 360 games.

    why can't xbox 360 games be downloaded onto the xbox one? can't be much different then what they have in the game library on the xbox one.

    and connection speed may play a part on my xbox one- just not on my xbox 360, pc, tablets, etc.
