    I can't download my xbox 360 movies and shows to my replacement xbox 360.


    I sold my original Xbox 360 a long time ago, and it had a ton of digital content on it. I bought a Halo 4 special edition slim Xbox 360 from eBay so I could get all my old 360 content onto a console before servers are inevitably shut down. I've been able to download my past games through download history, but I can't download the 2 seasons I have of Megas xlr, or the two movies I bought with my account. Every time I try, it tells me that it is "unable to get the license needed for playback, try again later". I've been trying every day for about a week with no luck. When I am on the page for the movie, I go to the "related" section and it says Xbox service isn't currently available. I really want those movies and shows back. Could anyone from Microsoft help?

    I've tried calling support, but I can't get the phone number because there is no category under "contact us" that is relevant to my problem aside from a few that say calls are not available for this issue. I view my old consoles like a digital time capsule, and I want to keep it with a bunch of old media downloaded to it long after the servers shut down. I'm missing a lot of my old themes due to Uplay no longer being available, and I'm hoping the same isn't the case for my movies and TV shows. I don't have an Xbox one or series x, so I also want to know if the TV show is able to be downloaded on a newer console using the same account. The Megas cartoon wasn't available anywhere except Xbox Live the last I checked.

    Edit: I can still stream the shows and movies by selecting play, but it just won't let me download them.

    I have movie purchases on my Xbox 360 account and I got a new movie yesterday an Anime Yugioh Bonds Beyond Time but I can't download any of them because I'm getting the download error can't get licences needed how do I get my licences for all of the purchases

    Sorry but you are not just "buying licensing" On Xbox 360 you have the option to actually download the movies/shows to your Xbox. Why can't we download our movies we buy on Xbox One to the console? If microsoft loses the rights to sell the product than
    no big deal I have it downloaded to my drive.

    I am getting the same error. I do not use an HDMI cable on my Xbox 360. I have always been able to watch movies and TV episodes via S-Video out.

    Here's a full description of what I am experiencing. Note that my Xbox One is hooked up to an HDCP-compliant device, and can play Blu-ray movies just fine:

    I can't play a movie I just rented on either Xbox 360 or Xbox One (Booksmart, SD stream). On Xbox 360, it shows up in My Movies normally, but when I select Play, it tries to start then shows error code c101a3ff. It does NOT show up under Purchased on Xbox
    One, and in the Xbox One Microsoft Store listing, there is no indication I have paid for it under either the SD or HD headings. I DID receive an order confirmation email, and it IS in my Microsoft.com order history.

    All my other rentals and purchases work fine on Xbox 360. On Xbox One, my purchases work fine, but a rental viewed once on Xbox 360 (The Crimson Pirate, SD stream) does not work ("Can't play", error code 0xc33607e3). I'm not concerned about THIS error, only
    mentioning it for added information.

    I have tried:

    Restarting both consoles several times

    Hard restart of Xbox One

    Updating the Films & TV and Microsoft Store apps on Xbox One

    Clearing the hard drive cache and redownloading an update for Movies & TV on Xbox 360

    Deleteing and redownloading my Xbox Live profile on Xbox 360

    I can't test any movies on PC, as I only have Windows 7.
