I can't download a game that I have BOUGHT

  1. I can't download a game that I have BOUGHT


    I'm wondering if someone have the same problem. I have bought Civilization Revolutions for my XBOX360 (because I really like to play online and the PS3 version no longer provide the multiplayer option).

    I have download it (and the game is "only" 5G) tens of times.

    According to Microsoft chat support I have to delete the corrupted file, erase the cache system 3 times (yes three times!), switch of the console and remove the power cable for at least 30 seconds.

    I have done that a few times. Then I have decided that I should leave the room and enter 3 times, starting always with the right foot, and taking at least 30 seconds during this process and then start the download.... No success. Then I have switched to
    left foot. Same.

    Last time I have clapped my hand over my head for at least 30 seconds before I start the download. No success again.

    Bottom line... I can't download the file. The yellow exclamation mark instead of the game icon stating the file is corrupted is a little bit annoying.

    The best of all: Microsoft do not refund me.

    Where are you Bill? We miss you!

    Battlefield 4 Premium
    or
    Battlefield 4 Premium Edition
    ?

    I only ask because Premium is only like a season pass where the Premium Edition includes the game. If it was the Premium Edition then try going to My Games & Apps then Ready to Install if the game didn't already install to your console.

    did you delete the corrupted game and delete just your profile then clear system cach

  6. The only thing I haven't tried was to delete my profile. But the strange thing is that small games I can download without any problem. Just this huge file (5G) is failing.

    Dont worry. Its a random error this days. Happend to me yestetday with 2 new games I buy crysis 3 and nfs mw.i try all day to download and after arrive at 80% give me "cant download error".after 2 hours I say lets try again. Surprise crysis 3 work to download
    successful but most wanted nope.

    Thanks for getting back to us today. By any chance have you tried doing this through a different browser to see if it will allow you to get connected to one of our live agents? Also have you tried choosing a different topic under the option ('Pick a
    topic')
    when trying to
    request a callback.
    I've noticed if you switch it around it gives you different options, give it a shot let us know if it allows you to set up the callback request.

    Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums for this issue. Sorry to hear that you're having difficulty finding your game after purchase. Was the purchase made via the Microsoft Store while you were logged into the Microsoft/Xbox account that is associated
    with your profile, or have you made the purchase using a different Microsoft account?

    You can
    check your purchase history on your PC
    or another device to confirm that it is in the correct account. If it is, then you may choose to download the game remotely to your console. Please make sure that your device is registered to your account should you
    choose this option.

    If you do continue to experience difficulty with the purchase being recognized, then I recommend that you request a call back from Xbox Support so that they may look into the matter directly. Sadly, we on the forums lack the tools necessary to assist more
    directly with billing issues.

    When you go to Contact Usto request a callback, follow these steps:



    • Step 1 ----Select Xbox One
    • Step 2 ----Select See other options
    • Step 3 ----Select topic
    • Step 4 ----Select "Show contact options"
    • Step 5 ----Select request a call from support

    Once they call, explain the issue and they will be able to help you.

    Thanks again for the update with your reply. Sorry to hear that you're continuing to have issues getting that call back request in! Can you try to make the request from a different device, like a smartphone or tablet? Give that a try. Sometimes it can be
    a network issue and cell networks would be different (as long as wifi on the phone is turned off).

    Just in case it may be a region issue, would you mind replying with your region or country so we can see if we have a more direct way for you to contact support? This is assuming that the alternative device gives you the same issue.
