I cant delete accounts off of the Xbox app for windows tenHi

Hi I am having some trouble deleting an account that i put on the Xbox app that was wrong and i was wondering if i could get some help with this

Disturbing messages from Xbox app

My PC isnt powerful enough to record games, or its some other reason for that.

When using chrome i often get the message to use some button to start recorder

and other things connected to X-box, and I want to get rid of that.

I cant uninstall Xbox app and by some windows-usual-reason i cant even get any result

by clicking "stop" the app.

Is the reason that i happened to once login to the xbox app, start an account?

If so, why cant i delete the account?

Still I find it annoying that microsoft doesn't let you do this.

In case someone is looking for this too:

I found some sort of solution that doesn't require multiple windows accounts.

In the windows configuration screen, you can set your microsoft account so that apps should always ask for verification. In my case, that 'crashed' my xbox live app and I could not sign off anymore.

Also in the 'app and email account' settings of the cofiguration screen, you can delete your account. This did the trick. It signed me off from xbox live and now I have to enter a password again.

Still, I now have to delete that account every time I'm not using it anymore. So any better suggestions are welcome.

You can go into the xbox app-->settings and select "sign out". Then you can sign in with the account you wanted.

yup xbox account without a doubt associated with my windows live account, i had made a windows live account before my xbox live account though, but i cant just delete the windows live account because, then ill loose all associated games so... yea

You can delete the account off the console, but you cant delete GTs altogether I dont think.

That is very interesting. Are you able to login using the Xbox App on Windows 10? The Windows Store shouldn't have been effected by this. If you are not able to login to the Xbox App you may need to Clear your local Xbox identity data:

- Open File Explorer

- Copy/paste this directory location: %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.XboxIdentityProvider_cw5n1h2txyewy\AC\TokenBroker

- Delete the Accounts and Cache folder in there (if they exist)

- Try launching the Xbox app again

If you still cant login using the Microsoft Account or still don't have access to certain things; please remove/ re-add your Microsoft Account.If you are signed into Windows with an Microsoft Account, you will need to convert your account to a local account,
remove the Microsoft Account, then re-add it.
