I can't delete a corrupted file from my GTA V game.

That is to say that, I have a corrupted file in my game directory. When go into setting and system, and I highlight the corrupted file and press delete, I get a message that reads "there was a problem during this operation" and I am kicked back out to the
menus page. It is a huge file (61GB) and I want to remove it just to keep the drive clean. Any Ideas.

GTA V On Demand Question

Try going into your hard drive from the settings menu, and going to GTA V. Go through the game and save files. Any files marked with a(n) yellow exclamation mark is a corrupted file. Delete that then try again. If it still doesn't work, try deleting your
profile off your xbox , and then redownload it, but make sure you ONLY delete your profile, and not profile and files.

What's the date on it? I too have a file like that but it dates back to 2011, so I don't bother with it. Where do you see it in your directory as well?

If that fails, please also check the GTA V game folder, which is location at settings - system - storage - select storage device - Games - GTA V to be sure no corrupt or incomplete files are present. If they are present please delete those.

After that clear cache, and restart console and try to download the update.

G'day Titanic! Sorry to hear the troubles with your downloaded game, let's see how we can clear this up.

Have you ever experienced this issue with another downloaded game?

Let's check the GTA V folder in your console's hard drive for any corrupt data (marked with a yellow "!") in Settings > System > Storage, and do the following:

If you see any corrupt files, delete them.
Delete the game's file.
Clear the cache and restart your console.
Download GTA V again and launch.

Give those steps a shot and let us know how it goes, and we'll continue from there!

Yes, I purchased and downloaded GTA from the Xbox live marketplace and was getting a disc read error. I thought my old files from the disc version were corrupting the game but deleting them didn't help.
