    I can't connect with some people but others it's fine?!?!? Please help!!!


    I'm trying to connect to Xbox party with some friends and I cant join. It shows the party graded out. If they send me an invite I can join BUT only after the invite. Meanwhile, my two nephews living in different parts of the country I'm able to join just
    fine.

    I've gone thru the steps listed by Microsoft, my NAT says it's open, I've reset the xbox1, the zyxel c1100z, upnp, done port forwarding, checked that the gateway was not behind a firewall.... everything!

    The only difference is nephews are playing CoD or farm sim vs Neverwinter...but even then when those same players are just talking without playing I still can't join.

    Any ideas??

    Please help!

    My friend and I can't connect to each others parties. We used to play together all the time but since he got a new XBox a week ago we can't join each others parties. We've both tested our connections and they're fine, both of our NATs are open, we've both
    tried restoring the factory defaults but we still keep getting the can't connect to party message. We can both play online no problem, just not with each other. Does anybody ave any solutions that wouldn't take a tech whiz to figure out how to do? Any help
    is greatly appreciated.

    Please Please Help!

    You can't just replace the HDD in an Original Xbox. The OX's HDDs were BIOS-locked and couldn't be replaced without a mod chip.

    .

    After doing some more research, it's also why you can't just factory-reset them. The BIOS lock required the serial number for support to generate a unique reset code.

    .

    OP...some people seem to have had some luck with reformatting the HDD, so you could try that.

    I moved your post to its own thread so we can tailor our support directly to you. Now we just need a bit more information to further assist. Do you get any error messages or codes when trying to send messages? Also, have you tried to send messages
    through the Xbox App by any chance to see if the same issue persist?

    Thanks for reaching out to us with this issue. I'm sorry to hear about the issue you may be experiencing with Xbox messages. Have you tested your NAT type on the device you are trying to send Xbox messages?

    Hey there Mikey! I understand you are having some issues connecting to LIVE. The fact that other devices can't connect to the network either makes me thing there is an issue with the modem that they provided you. If you can, I would suggest getting a replacement
    from Comcast and see if that helps. Please let us know if this helps, thanks!
