I cant connect to xbox live on my xbox 360

Ok so just today I changed my password and when you change your password you have to re sign into your account completely like with all the info but when I try this it tells me I have to re download my profile but when I try that I cant do that because it
just says "xbox 360 does not support that feature anymore please make a new account". This is really upsetting because now I cant play xbox live on my 360 or play any of the games on backward compatibility. I think other people have had this problem too

ok so I got a new router from twc yesterday, hooked it up and everythings fine, ive got an xbox 360 in the living room that's working great but my sons xbox 1 down in the basement cant connect to xbox live, I done the test connection down there and it said it was connected but he still cant get on xbox live, everything is hooked up just like before

And that profile picture and stuff is not mine i just claimed a username and that is what the other account is named.

 

This is a common problem with the new gamertags.

None of us can use our 360s now.

I switched from Jonker3262 to Jonker and cannot recover my gamertag on my xbox 360 console. It says that Original Xbox gamertags are not supported. How do I fix this? I basically paid $10 to not be able to play on my Xbox...

 

Ok, it's showing SlickJoey905644 as my gamertag... just great...

 

jonker thats because thats the gamertag of the guy who used to be jonker

 

Yes, it's updated now! Can you use your 360 now? I'll have to try when I get home from work.

 

No but my theory is that the reason this accounts were never transferred over was because they were version 1s and the xbox probably somehow thinks its still the v1 account and thats why when you try to sign in on the 360 it says that they dont support the
account.

 

Hello anyone who was having this problem just contact xbox support at 1-800-469-9269 I got everything resolved in less then 30 mins and only had to talk to one guy the whole time.

 

Y the *** I cant play my xbox. I just wanted to change my password and then a promped came up and they tell me I have to wait till The *th of next month before I can do anything> what the *** just because I wanted to change My *** Password R U *** kidding
me.
