I can't connect to xbox live, getting error code 80151904.

I get 'internet error' when trying to test the connection, and get error code 80151904 when trying to connect to live. I managed to temporarily resolve the issue when I cleared the hard drive's cache and moved everything onto my other hard drive, formatted
the one inside the xbox, and then moved everything back on. I connected to live but when I shut down my system and came back to it later I got the same error. I use a wifi modem, and I'm not sure whether it's an issue with the machine or my internet. I've
already forwarded the ports and deleted my profile, tried all of that. I don't see why I'm paying for a service that I can't use. Someone help. Thanks in advance.

The message says that my console can't connect to Live, and the code at the bottom of the message is 80151904. I looked up the error code, but none of the troubleshooting has worked obviously.

Delete your profile and redownload it. If that doesn't work, delete your Dashboard update and redownload that:

Press the Guide button on your controller.

Go to settings and select System.

Select Storage.

Enter the following button sequence: LB, RB, X, LB, RB, X.

Select the option to roll back all system updates that are installed. The console will restart automatically and then download the updates again.

Reboot your network hardware after that. Boot your Xbox up, and try again. You're also paying for a service you can't use because they're taking your money. Because they can.

Oh wow, way to discount me :V. Does your Xbox get an IP address? What does Network Statistics say? Any corrupt downloads on your console?

Well, I ran through what you said to do again and it worked. Thank you for that but I still can't play online games. I contacted support for the 3rd time and the rep told me that it was a problem with my modem. Again, thanks for the help Irixion.
