I can't connect to xbox live, but I can?

Every single time I sign into my account, it says "can't connect to Xbox Live"With the error code 80151901

But then I test xbox live connection.

It works. No errors. No failures. It tests fine. Then I sign into my account and it lets me on Xbox Live.

But this happens literally every single time I sign into my account.

I deleted my profile and redownloded it,

I cleared the cache.

I've done both of these steps dozens of times.

I don't know what else to do.

I can't connect to Xbox Live!

i have the same problem , my youngest son and i cant connect to live, but my oldest can 1 ! ! ! tested the cnnection as recomended and its fine , try to sign in and it comes up 80150101 code and service alert . the only thing i can think of is my oldest
son doesn't cloud save and the other two accounts do . HELP WOULD BE GOOD ! Thanks

 

I can't connect to live.

A few days ago I was playing black ops and got disconnected mid-game for an unknown reason. I went to xbox.com/networkhelp and tried all of the options to no avail. I also tried all of the options when I click more information after testing my connection.
I still can't connect and after fiddling for hours something happened to my router where my laptop wouldn't connect. Today we got a new wireless router and I STILL can't connect to live. When I try to test it, its the first part (xbox 360 to network) that
fails. It tells me that it can't obtain an IP address from my router or modem.

What Country/State/Province do you live in? United States, MI.

Modem brand & model number: Don't know, and don't know how to check.

Router brand & model number: Netgear, don't know how to check number.

Network Connection Type: Wireless/Wired Wired (ethernet cable to my laptop)

If Wireless, what type of encryption are you using? N/A

If Wireless, are you using a white or black external adapter, or an internal (Xbox 360S) adapter?

Things you have tried:

Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown Unknown

Is NAT Type Open? Most likely, I have had troubles in the past with this though and connecting to games..

Any Error Codes you encounter:

What type of internet do you have? Cable/DSL/T1/3G? I'm not sure

Who is your ISP(Internet Service Provider)? Comcast

After you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" and click on "More info", what is the exact message shown on screen?
"Cant obtain an IP address from your router or modem."

 

I'm having the same problem! I'll go from watching Netflix to playing a game and it will boot me because I "have to be connected to xbox live". Keep getting those errors too.

 

Delete your account and re - download it.

Go to settings > system > storage > profiles > your account > delete

Get on the app or game desired.

Press guide button > Download Account > Insert Windows LIVE ID and password.

Please read:
START HERE! And post back in full detail (the bits in bold).

If you haven't already, Go to Xbox Network Settings and select
Configure Network. Select the Additional Settings tab and
Restore to factory defaults. Turn off your console.

Power off your modem and router for a couple of minutes. Power on your modem and wait one minute for it to connect properly. Power on your router and wait another minute.

Turn on your console and go to Xbox Network Settings. Select
Test Xbox LIVE Connection and let us know how that goes and we'll go from there.
