i cant connect to xbox 360 live

i could connect fine before now my Xbox live does not work when i log in my account it freezes and resumed and freezes resumes and i cant connect please help me

ok so I got a new router from twc yesterday, hooked it up and everythings fine, ive got an xbox 360 in the living room that's working great but my sons xbox 1 down in the basement cant connect to xbox live, I done the test connection down there and it said it was connected but he still cant get on xbox live, everything is hooked up just like before

Sorry to hear about the connection issues. I recommend trying a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can get this issue sorted.

Please give the following steps a try:

• Press the Guide button on your controller.
• Select Settings, System Settings, and then Network Settings.
• Select the name of your Wireless Network, or select Wired Network for a wired connection.
  
• Select Test Xbox Live Connection.
• If you can't connect to Xbox Live, the connection test will show you where in the connection process the error occurs.
  
• You can follow the troubleshooting steps on our Xbox Live Connection Error Solution page based upon the error you receive when the test is complete.
  

Give the suggested steps a try and let us know how it goes.

 

I also have a similar ptoblem, the differance is that I can sign in to my account until I try to play a game, as soon as go play a game it automatically signs me out. Can some one help?

Before you go ahead and start your own thread, please try the following steps up front. If these steps do not work, then proceed with your own made thread.

Delete Xbox LIVE profile safely

Before you delete your profile you have to know the username and password for your Microsoft account that is associated with your profile.

1. Go to Settings, and then select System.
2. Select Storage.
3. Select All Devices.
4. Select Gamer Profiles.
5. Select the gamertag that you want to delete.
6. Select Delete.
7. Select Delete Profile Only. This deletes the profile but leaves saved games and achievements.
   

Clear Xbox system cache

1. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings.
   
2. Select Storage or Memory.
3. Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller.
4. Select Clear System Cache.
5. Repeat this process 3 times in a row.

Restart your console.

Download Xbox LIVE profile.

1. Press the Xbox Guide button on your controller (large X button in the center of your controller).
   
2. Select Download Profile.
3. Enter the Microsoft account associated with your Xbox LIVE gamertag.
4. Enter your Microsoft account password.
