I can't connect to my internet !

Hi a have some kind of the same problem . one week ago , when my xbox could connect to the internet there was a ugly storm and a lightning striked in a house next to mine. My router was destroyed but i changed it and my xbox still cant connect to the internet
...could the storm destroy my xbox ? please help me

steps first to verify that there is not another variable that may be causing the connection issue.

Please give the following steps a try:

• Press the Guide button on your controller.
• Select Settings, System Settings, and then
  Network Settings.
• Select the name of your Wireless Network.
• Select Test Xbox Live Connection.
• If you are unable to connect to the internet, the connection test will display what type of error that was encountered.
  
• Once the test displays the error, you can find the error and the corresponding troubleshooting steps on our Xbox Live connection error solution page.
