I can’t connect my old Xbox one controllers to my new Xbox one s

Xbox One S, not series S. And I just tried and it says it connected on my phone but “can’t connect to the internet”,on my xbox

So to make this even more confusing to figure out. I just dug out my old xbox one s, fired it up and tested all the controller on
it. The old ones still work fine. The black one that came with the new xbox series x works fine. The new style white controller that come with the new xbox series s and the new style black controller bought today from best buy BOTH have the headset low volume
problem on my old xbox one s. Totally confused at this point.

My Old Xbox one still works but when xbox one s went on sale, A. My console was slower B. Not enough storage C. Needed new controller, but if it weren't for needing a new controller I'd probably still be using my old one, it's good and all but want 100%

Someone know if the new Xbox Controller S/X will be compatible with the old Xbox One ??

You're lucky. You can use the new Series X | S controllers on the old Xbox One.

Yes, I know, but I can’t find anywhere selling them new, and when I look at one that are old or used they are never made for Xbox One S, the only ones I can find are for Xbox 360, so would that one work for the Xbox One S?
