I cant click allow for my microphone for my Microsoft account.

I was playing with friends the one day and then my mic cut, it took me a few days until i realized that my microphone was DENIED permission all of a sudden with my Microsoft account. I cant reallow it becasue of parent controls but i left the family and i still have the issue. I wanna know why xbox has taken that off becasue it was random, apparently its a new thing when you dont renew your game pass but my mother couldn't get it fixed and i cant either. Im currently 17 and i really want my microphone back so i can keep playing. Can someone help please becasue this is annoying and i called and was REDIRECTED TO XBOX SUPPORT INSTEAD. Sorry for an outburst but can someone help me on this, thanks

I am sorry to hear that you're having issues with communicating with Xbox or other platform. Typically, if your account is set as a Child (Which is under 18), there are privacy settings that might be blocked by default. When this happens, accessing the privacy settings will not allow you to change when you sign in here https://www.xbox.com/en-US/user/settings/privac.... So here's what we are going to do.

Since your account is being detected as a child by the system, it would need a parent account to edit your account's settings to allow online multiplayer and other privacy settings like communication.

First, if you have an account that is an adult, use that account to set up a family on this link https://account.microsoft.com/family. Invite your main account. Then from there, use your parent account to access the settings https://account.xbox.com/Settings for your child's account.

1. Sign in the parent or the organizer of the family here https://www.xbox.com/en-US/user/settings/privac...

2. From there, you should see your child's account gamertag (Screenshot attached).

3. Under Privacy tab, find "You can communicate outside of Xbox with voice & text" and or "Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites" > Set it to Allow.

Thanks for your quick feedback, I already have an HDMI 2.1 receiver but none of them allow me to plug in a microphone to talk to my friends.

I don't want to connect a microphone or anything to my pad.

Is there an xbox-certified device that allows me to plug in a wired microphone?
