I can't change the privacy and online safety settings!

When i was playing Minecraft PE on a server it didn't let me chat because how my Xbox privacy and online safety settings was set up. So i went to my PC and tried to change the settings but it didn't let me because my account was a child account. However,
i couldn't see any parent account associated with my account. Please help me to change the online safety settings.

Hey there, if you can't afford the name change you could try changing some of your privacy settings so that random people can't send you messages or see your online status.

You're going to need the parent account to log in to their account in order to make the changes to any child account. This page will have more information on what the parent account needs to do.

being 20 years old is NOT a child account, get your facts straight. Can't edit the privacy and online settings and tried every single link on this site which does not fix the issue at all. It keeps saying "How parents can change the settings of the child
account" and all I AM NOT A FREAKING CHILD ANYMORE I AM 20! I AM AN ADULT IN THE FAMILY! PLEASE HELP this is ruining my and everyone's experience on Xbox Live.

 

same problem, iam a child account but no parent account is linked to it, everytime i tried to link one i got the page not found message, and now i cant change my privacy settings or add a parent account.....

 

I have the same issue. I'm over 18 so why I can't acces my own account is a bit weird.

 

Same issue here, there is a working Microsoft family account my son uses on a daily base.

Trying to change the privay and online setting for that account via the xbox-live portal is not possible.

reason: the child acccount gamer tag doesn't show up

any further "how-to" advice is meaningless as there is no account entry to chose from

How to bring that child account from microsoft family portal to the xbox portal?
