    I know you can only change it ONCE for free. That's the thing i never changed it and i still have to pay 10 bucks.

    Context: So in the middle of December of 2019 i was getting an xbox for christmas. I was so hyped that i made an account. Next month i got my xbox and signed into the account i made. It was chill until i decided to change my gamertag (I decided on that on
    late june or early july) since it looked lame like this. Ex: Example#6367. I went to go change it then boom a PAYWALL. I was confused so i searched up "Do i have to pay money to change my gamertag?" It said not for the first time so here is the question.

    Question: Why do i have to pay for my name change even though i have NEVER changed it once for free.

    My Answer: In my opinion i think you a time limit before you have to pay. (By the way this is what I think, I still want answers)

    When you created your account were you given a randomly generated tag or did you choose your tag? If you chose your gamertag when you created your account, that was your free change.

    You will not get a free gamertag change from microsoft, I was bullied and harass by other gamers on xbox live. But I paid the 800 points to change my gamertag as i was not given a free gamertag change, now i have a different gamertag the bullying and harassment
    has stopped.

    so i would say get the 800 points and change your gamertag to something, other gamers cant make comments on.

    Why cant just an employee resets my gamertag to something random like the frist time you register.

    Then i just change my name to "Contexys"

    My little brother changed my gamertag a few minutes ago and I only seen it now and I'm wondering if I could u change it back. It was my free change will u please refund my free change, if u cant it's ok
    You will need to contact Microsoft support. Hopefully they can give you your free change back!
