I can't change my email linked to my gamer tag HELP!

I need to change the email linked to my gamer tag. I originally used an old hotmail account that I do not want to use anymore. I have tried contacting chat support and they were not able to help. I tried calling phone support. I was on the phone today
for an hour and 20 minutes and they were not able to help me and the phone call ended by them hanging up on me. I found the instructions online and flowed them to a T. I went to account security on my console and followed all the steps, everything goes fine
except I get the error "sorry we can't change your account right now". All my research on the Internet says that you get this error if you try to change it less than 30 days after the last change. This is my original email that I have used for 2 years and
have never changed it.

I have tried to change this on my console every night for the last 10 days. I always get the same error. I have $1.20 on my existing account that I don't care if I lose. How can I get this issue escalated? Is there anything else that could be wrong that
I need to change to get this to work? Is there anyway to change this from a PC or does this have to be done on a console?

Gamer tag linked to dead account

Gamer tag is linked to a dead account that I can not get access to-tried recovering password but not enough info for them-(old email that haven't used since created), so told to create a new account which I did. Can't change gamer tag to my old one help

Microsoft Account

So when I was younger I made my Microsoft account on an unofficial email (I do know the email information I just don't use that Email). So I was wondering if there was anyway to either change my gamer tag to a new email. Something along the lines
of changing the email that my gamer tag is linked to.

You can change it on the PC. If you go to account.live.com and sign in using your account information that you use on the console, go to account aliases and then you can update it using one that you use.

Hi!

If you simply want to change just the email address, there is no payment for it. Unless you change the gamertag.

Make sure that the email address you want to use is not linked with a gamertag. Otherwise, it will give you an error.

By the way, it is vital that if you use a new email address to your gamertag, you do not use it to log in to Xbox.com. Because
you will automatically be given a free gamertag and will have to wait 30 days
before you can swap it to your old email (after downloading both email address to the console).

And if you want to use the NEW EMAIL address that has a gamertag linked to it, you will be doing a MICROSOFT ACCOUNT/GAMERTAG SWAP. This is a lengthy process and you can only do this on the console., you need to first download both gamertags on the console,
wait 30 days (do not delete the gamertag or redownload from the console). Let both gamertags sit in for more than 30 days. Then follow this instruction:

support.xbox.com/.../switch-gamertag-to-different-microsoft-account

By the way, you might want to register the email first as a Microsoft account before you can link it to your gamertag (for domains @gmail.com, @yahoo.com, etc).

Remember: if you do not intend to have a gamertag attached to your email address DO NOT log in to Xbox.com using that email. Because that email will be given a free gamertag.

okay so i have an issue, i think i got a force gamer tag change, but my problem is i no longer have the email that i used with this gamer tag. the email i currently use is linked to my other gamertag and i don't use that gamer tag anymore. how can i change
my current gamertag to my current email without it linking my current email to a older gamer tag? ALSO if you did ban me and give me some really weak , wack gamer tag, how come you are trying to charge me to change my gamer tag? because if that is the case,
this xbox one will be sold for a ps4.

For some reason my new gamer tag linked itself to my old gamer tag email address. I don't know how to change that and to link my old gamer tag back to my Microsoft account. I believe that's why I cant play as my old game tag. Is there a way to fix that?

I'm sorry you are experiencing this with your Minecraft account.

Unfortunately, gamer tag information is not enough. In order to recover a Microsoft account that is linked to your Minecraft, you will need to know the email address associated with it. In this case, the only option you have is to perform the following workarounds to locate the email address linked to your Microsoft/Minecraft account according to the official Xbox website: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/account-profile/manage-account/forgot-microsoft-account-solution

"Go to xbox.com and try signing in with the email address that you think is associated with your Microsoft account.

If you can sign in, the email address and password you entered are valid. The gamertag that’s associated with this email address will be displayed in the upper-right corner of the screen.

If you can’t sign in, check your other email inboxes for messages about your Xbox subscription or Xbox offers. This may help you determine which email address is associated with your Xbox profile.

Note: Think back to when you created your Microsoft account. Were you using a different internet service provider for email at the time?

If you’re part of an Xbox family group, have an organizer (adult account) look up your account info with the Xbox Family Settings app.

Note: This step only works if you’re set as a member of the Xbox family group. Organizers can’t review the account info of other organizers in a group.

Steps for the organizer:

Open the Xbox Family Settings app on their mobile device.
Choose the member whose account info isn’t known.
Select the Info bubble next to the user’s gamertag.
Review the info under Account email for the Microsoft account that’s associated with their Xbox profile."

before i had my Xbox 360 i used my mates and i stupidly linked a old account to my current email address and my current gamer tag has a email i don't use this means i wont be able to sing up to netflix or crunchy roll with my current email because its not
the same as my current gamer-tags email how do i swap them ? do i just simply delete my old gamer tag and then just re-use my current email or will it not allow me because it was linked to a old gamer tag ?

I also have this issue but mine gamer tag is linked to my girl friends email and now my Xbox one calls me by her name. I need my gamer tag under my own email but it seems the only way is by using a 360 and it wasn't simple on there either but I don't have
one now.
