How do you cancel the monthly auto renewal for ea access please?

i agree 100% with you on the auto re-newal deal.

to make things worse when you buy a full year they WON'T ALLOW YOU:

1.TURN OFF AUTO RE-NEWAL;yourself (like you once were here in the U.S.).

2.(MY BIGGEST ISSUE WITH THIS SET-UP)EVEN THAT YOUR GOLD IS PAID IN FULL YOU CAN'T REMOVE "YOUR"

CREDITCARD FROM ACCOUNT(until your gold expires)

LAST time i looked at MY card it had my name on it NOT XBOXLIVE OR MS OR EVEN BILLY GATES.

This act opens the door for hackers to steal your info(at least use it on xbox,and takes forever to get resolved costing you fees.)

Auto re-newal shouldn't be shoved down peoples thoarts

2nd "YOUR" card info shouldn't EVER be locked in once you been billed (there is no sound reason to put one at risk this way.)

BACK to your question:

1. call xboxlive billing tell them to turn off auto re-newal

then tell them to remove your CC info.(if you have a current running gold going they won't remove it til it's over)

2.then enter code for your 12 month pre-paid card. (once your current gold expires,otherwise they won't remove info)

You have to call xbox and tell them to turn off auto re-newal after you make your purchase;

i do not agree with this action"that you must agree to auto re-newal on yearly re-newnals"

It is unfair,as things change over a years' time;this should be an option if you wish to sign up for auto re-newal(yearly)

I can not believe this is still an issue after all this time.

Bad enough you can not remove CC details after the change has been made,forcing people to accept something that could cause issues with CC(s) and banks (over drafts,etc.)which puts one at risk of paying fees(in most cases 39.99 for over limit charges)

ever year i go through the same routine,i re-new my gold then i got to call accounts and billing and tell them to turn off auto-renewal.

I'm having the same issue, I was trying to redeem a code and was told to cancel my auto-payment for it to work but can't access my account on xboxlive.com
