I can't cancel a download on the xbox app.

I tried to download a game but it started downloading something else which was much bigger in GB. When i try to cancel the download it does nothing and it's preventing me from playing my games.

Hello no worries, for the Windows, try to see if there some optional Updates missing in the system.

See which version of Windows 10 you have

Updates are often seen as optional and should probably have optional and security updates to be made to the system.

Also, make sure all Xbox Apps are up to date in the store, and make sure you have the Xbox Companion App installed, it works with the Xbox App.

Thank you for helping but I think you misunderstood it as it was the Xbox app on windowand also I fixed it before you replied,but thank you anyway.

Hello George, if you really can't cancel the download on your console, first try doing a cache cleanup to see if it unlocks the temporary file that's preventing it, if it doesn't work, try the reset by keeping games and Apps.

1. Go to xbox press and hold the XBOX power button on your console for 10 seconds until it turns off

2. Wait 10 seconds for it to turn off

3. Wait 1 minute with it off

4. Turn it back on

Press the Xbox button to open the panel.

Select system > system > console > system

Select Reset console.

Restore and maintain my games and apps.

Rest assured, you won't miss games or saves

Note - You need to know the email and passwords of your accounts when performing this reset.

The games don't show up in the apps list. I can't cancel or download the games through the Microsoft Store, it requires me to install said games through the Xbox app (game pass games). I tried wsreset, but it didn't resolve the issue, as the 2 games still show up as ready to install, and I can't do anything except view the installs in the Xbox app

I accidentally canceled a download (Forza Horizon 4: drift pack) on my Xbox one s and now I can't find it anywhere. I don't know what to do. HELP!

quit the app and relaunch and you should be able to restart the download
