I can't buy or Redeem a code from the Xbox Store

You can redeem it on steam.

You can't redeem a steam code on the xbox/microsoft store platform. You MUST buy it digitally on the microsoft store to use it on xbox live/windows live.

Did you goto account.microsoft.com to redeem it or ms store ?.

Which case you need to redeem it in a certain way

If you bought it from game stop

Redeem it rhere

If it came from a ms store redeem it there in place of your payment method not into your wallet

Or goto buy something on Xbox store then when selecting payment method use a code and redeem best bet use it om ms store

I don't recall the Xbox 360 marketplace has an option to buy a gift for someone. Only the Xbox One store. Where did the person who gifted you the game buy the code from and how was the code given?

Once you redeem a code to your account whether on your PC or on the Xbox, the code won't be able to be redeemed again. You either redeem it online or you redeem it on the console.

Check you purchase history on your Xbox 360 to check for the redeemed game so you can start the download.

I am having the same issue with buying the DLC, that is both in the Xbox Store and through the game itself. I have redeemed the code but cannot use it. I really don't want to drop the extra cash on the Collection. I have the $30 in my Xbox store account
but can't use it to buy the DLC because it says "Not Currently Available" and when I try to get it from teh in game director it says "Query Failed"

I'm not sure you have it, but in Australia I go down to my local supermarket/mall and buy a XBox Live subscription card for 12 months, scratch off to reveal code and redeem it using redeem a code in the online store from my XBox1X.
