I cant buy a new Gold account with the money on my Xbox 360!

Hi i would like to know how to use my money on my Xbox, because every time i want to buy a new membership, it says that i have to choose payment option. Then i try to choose the box that says the amount of money i have, but i cant choose it. HELP

buying with a 25$ gift card wont let me buy a 360 game

i want to buy a 360 game withe my xbox gift card but when i use the money from my account i cant buy it with my money only with credit card not my account ballance

 

You don't you never could use currency or ms points or gift cards for reoccurring memberships

If you want one time payment you will have to buy prepaid codes

Subscription plans require a reoccurring payment option like a credit card

 

it wont get fixed any time soon as you need a recurring form of payment on file to even get the subscription when bought on the console. as the others said you want to buy live you have to use a CC or a debit or paypal or a store bought Live card. the
currency from converted points is for purchases on the marketplace only (games, videos, add on content for games etc).

 

I don't understand what is confusing about this concept. You have never, ever been able to use the currency on your account, MSP or cash conversion, to buy a subscription. It has just never been a thing you could do. It's not like the currency on you account
is just wasted because you can't buy a subscription, use it for what it is for. Buy a game, some DLC or videos and simply buy your physical subscription card from any retailer. Not a hard thing to do or to grasp.

no one is forcing you to purchase currency Cards, if you dont use them as intended there is no helping it. it wont be different in any other service with paid subscriptions and stored currency, as this would only cause one big Problem: People purchase subscription,
People dont care about their currency, subscription gets blocked by missing payment. People get upset because such a flawed System is preventing them from enjoying a Service.

 

This is an easy fix for xboxlive, money is money don't be so greedy. I just wasted money so they can try to get me to buy DLC. I don't want my cc on your servers and the cards made that easy. This makes it easier for me to upgrade to a more cunsumer
friendly system.

 

I never knew these since i always been a sony consumer and that's why i am because they have no things like these.it doesn't say it anywhere.

 

Sony is the same way all subscription services require a renewable payment opt-in

No service allows currency to be used and prepaid currency cards do say you cannot use it for subscriptions

If you ignored the warning that's your issue you were never allowed to use points or currency for subbscriptions

That's what prepaid suscription cards are for

If you don't wan to pay full price for subscription cards you will have to shop savvy or follow the terms of use

 

Actually it does cannot be used for subscriptions just for doc and games and add-ons

Even Sony products use subscription cards and currency cards and currency cards cannot be used for subscriptions

That's right, but on the card it does state what you CAN buy with the Currency, so Xbox games, Xbox music, Xbox Video, and Windows phone store. And for future references please make your own thread to get individual support.

 

That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. Money is money! Money in an account should be able to be used for a gold membership. The subscription could simply cancel when the money runs out. Very nice of Microsoft to put limits on my money.
