Hi all,

I recently acquired a very special original Cream/White Coloured XBOX 360 console and basically it used to belong to a very, very famous person, who is now no longer with us (

Basically I just thought I would plug it in an see if it still worked as it had been in storage for a few years. I connected up all the cable and turned it on and to my surprise, it powered up fine with a game still inside. All the previous owners game data
etc was still on it and by looking at it the game that was in it had been 45% completed in under 5 hours so obviously this guy was a true expert.

I popped out to speak to a friend at the door and when I came back all the screen was different, the menu had a completely different layout and colours. I then found out that my son had pressed the Update button and basically all the original screen and
'dashboard' had been erased and changed for the new version. Luckily, all the game data was still on there, which was very important.

So, what I am after is to find a way to revert this Xbox back to the way I initially got it. It had been untouched from 2007 and was last played by this guy who I looked up to for years and he still has a huge following. I just want to get it back to the
way he last saw it, I know it sounds daft but the guy was a true legend and millions of you played his games.

Is there anyway I can get this done? Is it something that I can do myself? Am I able to send it back to XBox to get the updates etc removed so the unit goes back to how it looked when it was new in 2006? I don't mind paying for the service if it means that
it goes back to how it was.

It is very important that either way, the game data MUST be saved.

Let's clear up this whole "your friends have to pay a fee if you let them borrow their game" concept.

ok but again you dont answer the question.... what about multiple consoles under one roof with different accounts ????????example i have a unit and my daughter has a unit do we pay extra to put the game on the other unit and if yes WHY?????? galactic geek
i believe your missing the point of what people are upset about it is very possible that the ignorance is on your behalf

If someone has your information, you should enable Profile protection on your account, and change your password...
live.xbox.com/.../Protection

After clicking on "Require profile download" and changing your password, the next time that person tries to sign into your account, it will give them an error message telling them to re download the profile, but since you would have changed the password
they would not be able to do that... Also make sure you change your proofs on account.live.com

 

I am very sorry to tell you this but you cannot reverse System Updates. You are going to have to be used to the new dashboard. New features include

1. Pinning Apps & Games

2. 2 Free games with gold (monthly)

3. User Interface Improvement

4. Bug Fixes

But you are unable to reverse updates.
