It sounds like your account might be set as a child account. Try signing in at account.microsoft.com and checking your account settings. If it's listed as a child, you'll need to add it to a Microsoft family group with an adult account to change privacy settings.

Just follow the instructions there to access the kids accounts from the parent one.

If you are under 18 you will have to have your parents adjust the controls. If you are over 18 you'll need to promote your account.
