    I can't add a profile to my Xbox series s after using the offline update


    I was having trouble downloading games from gamepass (downloads were hanging at 0% then stopping). I saw an update for the console was available and that too was hanging like all game downloads so I used the offline method.

    Everything seemed fine and it booted perfectly. When I went to add my profile I just get a black spinning disc for a minute or so then back to homepage asking me to sign in again.

    I've tried a hard reset. I've tried a wireless connection and a wired connection. Nothing helped.

    Advice welcome please

    It is still not able to connect then.

    You can configure your network, or connect the console to another wifi other than your home.

    Note: The console and the PC are different devices, there is no connection between them.

    If you want to configure the network, this is the configuration

    So you just need to configure your internet devices now.

    They are unconfigured, so have access restrictions, causing these errors.

    If you do not have knowledge, I advise you to contact the ISP that they will do for you

    set a fixed ip for the console/PC, open the ports described below, disable and enable the UPnP function and disable the modem firewall, if you have a modem and a router the process has to be done on both devices.

    Put console/PC IP in DMZ zone.

    Port 88 (UDP)

    Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

    Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

    Port 80 (TCP)

    Port 500 (UDP)

    Port 3544 (UDP)

    Port 4500 (UDP)

    You can ask ISP(Internet Service Provider) for help

    You can also perform simple processes

    Press and hold the power button on your Xbox for 10 seconds, wait for it to turn off. Unplug it. Now wait 1 minute before turning it on.

    Configuration>Network>Advanced Settings>DNS Settings>Manual>Primary 1.1.1.1 and Secondary 1.0.0.1

    sam, when the console cannot connect to the server, it will just load anyway.

    Use a cell phone in hotspot mode, and connect the console to this created network.

    Just connected via hotspot and same thing. Continuous spinning circle. The Xbox says it's connected but I have the same issue.

    For what it's worth I know my wi-fi is fine because I can connect with other my PC and phone

    Turn your console off and power cycle your network hardware. Wait a couple of minutes while it reconnects to the internet (green lights) before turning the console back on.
