i canot talk,hear my friends, or hear the game im playing

i am an xbox user who needs help, i have spoken to someone on the xbox support team about this and our only result was topost on the forums. a month ago i revieved a ban that lasted a day, however with the ban i recived an icon on the top right hand corner
of my screen that looks like a a microphone with an Oand a slash threw it, i still have this icon and i still cant talk to anybody. I have tried everything too fix it like trying to update my controller or trying a different controller in the end it always
ends up the same, not working and leaving me more confused. please help i. have no idea what to do.

Voice chat through speakers

I have my voice coming through my t.v as my mic is broken because I stood on it I canot hear players in game chat talking but when I talk they hear me I can only hear people when we are in party chat why is this?? I miss the wee sqweekers whineing when I
call in a swarm any ideas??

 

Can't hear my friend talk

My friend can't hear me and I can't hear him. Neither of us are blocked. Everyone else can hear us. NAT is open for both of us. Party chat and game chat do not work. Text chat still works.

How do I fix this?

 

I've even made a YouTube video about it yet it doesn't have the icon

 

Have you tried testing this with another controller? maybe check your sound settings or your privacy settings? might have blocked yourself from your friends. or there is another account as a "parent" in the family settings blocking you from communicating
to others as a "child"?

 

I have tried a different controller and I have checked if I have been set as child but it doesn't work
