I cannot update my Minecraft!

I just can't update my Minecraft. It doesn't appear on the updates. My minecraft is on v.1.4.0, and the recent one is v.1.9.0! My Xbox One was broken since last year's september and we just fixed it on thursday, and there were a lot of updates in line,
but not minecraft. Can you help me? Thank you!

You might also try reinstalling Minecraft and see if that works.

You may want to try clearing the MAC address too. To do that just go to your network settings, click advanced network settings, alternate MAC address, select clear, then reset. Your console will restart at that point.

I'm afraid I cannot do that. What I just did though is unplugged my router and then I tried to play minecraft. Now, it says "This game requires an update, but the update couldn't be found."

I have the same issue. It would not update to version 1.19.1, so I uninstalled Minecraft. I then installed the launcher. I cannot install Minecraft for Windows (Bedrock). I have reinstalled the launcher, yet after I click the Install button, it asks for my path. I choose Default and then OK or whatever. The Play button does nothing now and there is no download progress bar, so not only cannot I not play the new update. I cannot play the game at all. I cross play with other systems and now I cannot do that. I am really disappointed with the rollout.

my version of M/s store has a library, where the updates are. I have gone there and chosen Games and clicked the update button and that just sets the wheel spinning. and nothing further happens. my version of Minecraft is 1.19.71. My daughter's version is 1.19.73 and I can enter it, but she cannot enter my game. and mine won't update.
