I cannot sign in to my account on Xbox 360 but I can on other devices

My account is just used as the parent to my son who uses the Xbox 360 with his own account. I initially had no problems and I would put in my password to accept friend requests etc. However, over a year ago it suddenly refused to accept my password, yet
on my iPad, PC etc my password is always accepted. Now Xbox Live is asking for my password to accept new terms and conditions. Because it doesn't recognise my password this means my son can't use Xbox Live at all. It was his birthday yesterday and he has Fifa
16 so he is not a happy bunny that he can't access the new features!

When I try signing in to my profile it gives the error code 8015D003. I have tried all three steps shown on Xbox Support. I have increased security on the account, I have cleared the system cache and I have moved my profile to a memory stick and re-downloaded
the profile, but it won't accept the password. I am so frustrated I have spent hours on this. Please can anyone help me?

I cannot sign in on my account on my Xbox. As soon as I click sign in and get ready to type in my password it just disappears. I can sign into other accounts but not my own WTF.

 

Account locked?

I know you cannot sign into the account in two different places at the same time. I am saying the account is LOCKED on my xbox, and I cannot sign into live but I am allowed to sign into the account. I can sign on other xbox live accounts just fine. I dunno
why the account was locked, but it would be nice if it was unlocked?

 

Hey IncredibleBow79! it sounds like you might have two-step verification enabled on your account which would require you to generate an app-specific password to sign in.

To check on that, head on over to
account.live.com and sign in. While signed in select 'Security & privacy' and then select 'More security settings'. Once you're on this page you can scroll down to see if you have two-step verification enabled. If it's enabled a little bit below is the
option to generate an app-specific password.

Once you generate that password you can use that as your password to sign into your Xbox 360. Let us know how it goes

Thanks for taking the time to reply. You got my hopes up there! Unfortunately it is still coming up with error code 8015D003. I have generated a couple of app passwords to try and its the same problem each time. Any other thoughts?

Yes I did all those before posting my initial question. My password is not accepted on the xbox but it is when

I sign into my account on any other device so I know the password is correct.

How do you have your console connected to the internet IncredibleBow79? If removing your profile and re-downloading it didn't help we may want to look into your connection.

Are you able to sign in with other accounts on the console?

 

My son can sign in fine. I only have an account to be the parental control. As new terms and conditions need to be okayed by me for xbox live it means he cannot use it at all.

 

If you sign in here at Xbox.com with the account that needs to accepted the new Terms and Conditions are you able to follow the steps it provides to accept them? Once you sign in, if you select your Gamertag at the top left and visit Microsoft Account it
should ask you to accept them.

 

When I sign in it doesn't ask me to accept terms and conditions.

To clarify, are you signing in with your son's account? Just trying to clarify if it's your account or your son's account who needs to accept the Terms of Service.
