I suppose this is supposed to be a surround-sound speaker setup.

As far as connecting it to the Xbox, this is how it usually goes:

- If you have an optical cable, you can use that as a direct audio connection between the Xbox One and the Sony DAV receiver. Your Xbox One has an optical port for audio. You will need to set the output to "Optical" on your Sony
receiver whenever you want to output audio from your Xbox.

- If you are just getting the sound from HDMI, you will need to plug the Sony DAV receiver to your TV (via RCA or other supported methods), adjust your TV's options so it's not using its built-in speakers anymore, and finally your
audio should pass through the Xbox, then the TV, then your Sony speakers.

I ordered a toslink optical cable, it works, sort of... 2 of my 4 speakers are not emitting any sound at all.. THose 2 I mentioned do work on everything else i.e, laptop,mp3 player and y hone, just for some reason when I hook it up to the opticals they
stop working..... Is it a problem with the console or the optical cables... I tried all the settings in the xbox audio setting as well as using the one vision settings...

Possible you're using 5.1 surround and your receiver / the xbox don't talk to each other properly.

I have a similar problem on certain games (watchdogs)- I have to set the Xbox to Stereo, then the receiver outputs to the centre channel - really annoying.

I have a Sony DAV-DZ260.

Sony only allows one MS account to connect to a Sony account. Once it's been done once, it cannot be undone

This is entirely Sony's policy, and you need to ask them to change it

well it was working...seems every time i turn xbox one on... and try to connect it say cannot connect
