    I cannot purchase some Xbox-360 games on my Xbox-One, so how do I purchase Xbox-360 games...


    How do I purchase Left for Dead 1 and/or Left 4 Dead 2 for the Xbox-One?

    Every time I click the "Xbox-One Games: Left 4 Dead" version I receive a message off to the right-side of my laptop screen instead of the usual blue "Buy" button. This is what the message reads:
    Buy on Xbox.com or Xbox 360. You can’t buy this on Xbox One.

    I know that this is a frequently asked question and has been answered in multiple threads, however, I guess that the answers are not specific enough for me to understand; most answers provide a link to where the game can be purchased
    on Xbox.com, which redirects me to the page with the version that reads this:

    19.99$

    Download to Xbox-360

    Is this what I am supposed to do, purchase the version that says "Download to Xbox-360"? Will this instead download the games to my Xbox-One due to the fact that my Microsoft/purchase-account is connected to my Xbox-One? Because
    I do not have an Xbox-360, and the link that keeps getting recommended throughout these help-threads redirects me to the page that says "Download to Xbox-360".

    I just want to be sure that I download the correct version of these games and that they will directly download to my Xbox-One.

    The directions are a little too vague for me; the way that things are worded here make me believe that if I were to purchase the "Download to Xbox-360" version, as indicated by the links that were recommended in the other help-threads,
    then I would end up purchasing the version that is not Xbox-One compatible--I really do not want to waste my money!

    Can't get games with gold Xbox 360 on Xbox One.

    Do you by any chance have a child account. If so, you cannot purchase Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One or xbox.com. The only way you can purchase those games is by using an Xbox 360.

    If you have an adult account, then make sure you are using a credit card to purchase the Xbox 360 games.

    You cannot purchase xbox 360 games on the xbox one yet. To get an xbox 360 game, you have to purchase from the xbox 360 store on xbox.com or on an xbox 360 console. Once you have purchased the game, then the game should show in the ready to install section

    I am having the same problems. I cannot purchase Xbox 360 games on my Xbox One X or my PC whether or not they are free, but there are no problems in purchasing Xbox One games.

    So I attempted to do exactly what you said and on my 360 it only shows me purchases made on the 360 that I can download not 360 games that I bought on the Xbox One live store. And if I go to purchase history in my account it keeps telling me it cannot connect to the website even though I have no issues with internet connection I verified everything for some reason this portion is already not functioning so again how am I supposed to download paid Xbox 360 games that I purchased on the Xbox live store on my Xbox one that should most definitely be playable on the Xbox 360. Again the issue is is that it wants me to pay for them again when I've already paid for them but there seems to be a disconnect between my log in which is the same login for the one machine and for the 360 machine. And yet for some reason those titles for the 360 purchased on the Xbox live and installed on my Xbox One are not carrying over to my 360. And since there's still a year out before we don't have support anymore I want to get all these games downloaded so I have them. But I really shouldn't have to pay for them twice. There must be another way to get this resolved any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    The game is a backwards compatible game so you will be buying the 360 version of the game (there is no One version). So even though it says it will download to the 360, you will be able to play and download it on the One.

    Typically that the message about needing to buy on xbox.com or on a 360 comes up if you're on a child account or trying to make the purchase via your Microsoft account balance. In order to purchase backwards compatible content on the One/website, you have
    to use a credit card or Paypal.
