I cannot play online multiplayer even though I suscribed for a xbox gold one-month trial???

I am also having same issue. Cannot play online multiplayer. You are not connected to xbox live... Even though I have a gold account.

You cannot play online multiplayer or any other sort of online types without gold membership.

However you can buy a gold membership subscription.

If you want to buy gold membership for a month you will need £5.99

If you are in the U.S you will need $10

Another thing, you can play at the moment with the 14 Day Gold Trial that is included with Halo 4.

The trial will not give you the full benefits of the real Gold Membership.

You cannot download the free Games with Gold titles on a gold membership trial. You would have to buy a 1, 3 or 12 month gold membership to gain all gold benefits.

The main thing the gold trials let you do, is try out online multiplayer. This would also be the reason you cannot see the "members area" you mentioned.

The online multiplayer is a feature limited only for Xbox Live Gold user on Xbox Consoles. If you are playing on PC you don't need gold at all for online multiplayer.

Please note that Free Xbox Live trials are often included with new consoles and will allow you to play online.

Gold trials start the instant you enter the code.

Most gold trials are limited in what you can do though, you can play online but cannot download the free games with gold for example.
