I cannot make the Xbox App for PC work,

Thank you for posting in Xbox forum.

We understand your sentiments about not being able to install games on your Xbox app. We find this issue quite unusual as Reinstalling Windows serves as our final troubleshooting for any Software related issues.

Kindly try the additional methods below and let us know if it helps. You might have performed some of the methods listed below, just feel free to skip it.

• Install pending Windows updates

• Perform DISM || SYSTEM SCAN

• Clear Microsoft Store Cache
  

1. Close any open program/browsers on your Desktop
   
2. press Windows + R key to open the RUN DIALOG box
   
3. type WSRESET then hit OK
   
4. an empty Command Prompt window will open up. Leave this open and wait for about 30 seconds, and wait for it to automatically close
   
5. after the Command Prompt is closed, the Microsoft Store will launch, which should be reset now
   
   - you need to relog your account to Microsoft Store and in Xbox application

I am having the same issue. Cannot get the link to work in iOS Xbox app, console or PC.

Oh yeah and I cannot access the Xbox app on PC. No matter how many accounts I create I cannot sign into the Xbox PC app only on my Phone. Again... the PC is shadow banned somewhere.

Seems like Gears 5 needs to be installed using the Xbox PC Beta App. Please check if your Windows 10 is version 1903 or not. If it is an earlier build the Xbox App does not seem to install. i have this problem with my Surface Book 2 which cannot update to
1903 due to an issue with that build and the surface line. This means i cannot install the Xbox PC app, and as a result i cannot install Gears 5.

The store on a regular computer links to your Xbox App on PC which shoudl allow you to install it.
