I cannot install upgraded version of FIFA 21 for Series X

Discus and support I cannot install upgraded version of FIFA 21 for Series X in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I own the FIFA 21 version for Xbox One.     I cannot install upgraded version of FIFA 21 for Series X


    I own the FIFA 21 version for Xbox One.

    Since past friday, upgraded version for Series X has been released for this game, but I cannot install it neither from the Store or from My Games & Apps section.

    I have reached both EA and Xbox Support and nobody is giving me a fix to this problem, while in Playstation side they are serving their customers directly without waiting EA to deliver a fix, proving that, when someone really wants to serve a customer, a workaround
    can be found.

    I can understand that this could be an issue on EA's side, but Xbox should take ownership on serving their Customers first, providing a workaround, while dealing with their provider, and not delegating the fix of the problem passively.

    It's been days now and I still cannot play the game I own. I really think this is not acceptable.

    Can Xbox support give me a solution?

    Does anyone have a list of all Fifa’s that run on Series X?

    Fifa 21
    Fifa 22
    Fifa 23
    Not quite what they were asking. Those FIFA's have Series X|S versions.

    However, since Series X (with its optical drive) plays Xbox One games, the list goes back to FIFA 14.

    Note, none of the Xbox 360 versions are backwards compatible.

    We appreciate your coming to the Xbox community, regarding your questions, yes it is possible for an Xbox Series S to play Fifa 21 with Xbox One. There are two versions of Fifa 21, the new generation version for Xbox series s/x and the old version Xbox one generation, but even the two versions can play together anyway.

    The differences between the versions are:

    Highest FPS

    Faster loading times.

    FIFA 22 and Next-Gen issues

    I can confirm I am experiencing the same problem.

    I purchased my Xbox Series S console 2 days ago specifically for the next gen Fifa 22. At first I tested Fifa 21 and the players are very much pixelated, so much so that you can not recognise player faces or details on their shirt like you would have on the previous generation versions.(Game feels unplayable) I also installed a previous non-Series X/S copy of Fifa (Fifa 20) and it looked perfect, much better than the new gen Fifa 21 and Fifa 22.

    I have tried all the troubleshooting options from both Microsoft and Samsung (My tv set is a 7 series Samsung).

    I set up my PS4 Pro with old gen Fifa 22 next to it and you can clearly see there is a problem with the Series S version, its rather clear.

    I have the same problem too. Looks perfect on Xbox One version and terrible on Xbox Series version on my Xbox Series S. Just like Fifa 21. I already canceled my pre-order because EA will blame Microsoft and vice-versa just like Fifa 21.

    You have installed the game version, if you purchased the FIFA 23 ULTIMATE EDITION XBOX ONE & XBOX SERIES X|S you will be able to install both games.

    Simply search FIFA 23 XBOX SERIES X|S on your Xbox Series S to install the correct version.
