I cannot install the new update

it gives me a code 000E i looked it up and it says i need to repair my console??

this is a slim model and has not had one problem with it And all of the sudden theres an update and i cant even play xbox ?? Playing xbox is my job Please tell me this update just made my xbox unusable ? ive tried all the steps to install it but same
message and yet theres nothing wrong with my xbox ....

My 360 wouldn't install the update and now it won't detect my Harddrive

Alright so it started out my 360 wouldn't install the new update so i reformatting my Xbox to make room for the update. The update still wouldn't install i was getting an error code 417400030800506D0000185, which isn't recognized as a code here on the website.
So i tried downloading the update on a USB and using that to install the update. Now my Xbox won't detect my Hard drive at all, I tried removing the hard drive and putting it back in and still nothing. I cannot sign in, download my profile, or install the
update, someone please help

I can get the update to work! Now tried uninstall and re-install and cannot re install! WTH???

Hi there,

as far as I know there hasn't been any update recently, but it can be caused by a storage/hard drive failure on your console. If that fails the console thinks that there is an update.

Please check what is shown when checking the storage section of the console and if the console has a seperate hard drive and what size(s) storage device(s) is/are

Could you provide the full error code, so not just the last 4 digits.

There was a preview update over the last couple of days.

I tried clicking on that link and it did not work i actually have the option for the new preview account on a differnet account but im suspended for 2 weeks and i was thinking i could op out for the new update preview would that help me on a differnt
xbox then come back to my other one ?

Wish I could help here but you can only access those options with the tag that opted in for the preview.

As much as I agree with you about the new UI design, it cannot be reverted, but also security updates where surely installed, updates to the OS, this is just collateral damage lol
