I cannot install games from the Xbox App

May I know if you tried installing the Xbox app from here and not Microsoft Store?

And, when you say "I can install games now, but I still cannot see any of the games"

This is via Xbox app? Or are you installing the games from the Microsoft Store?

I understand that you have an issue installing an apps to your Xbox app wherein you encountered an error codes "0x80070005 & 0x87e00017."Let’s work together in finding the best resolution to this issue.

For me to better understand the issue, I’d like to ask a few questions:

• Is this your first time to install an app to your computer?
  
• Are you using using Windows 10 or 11 operating system?
  
• What are the steps you have performed so far to fix the issue?
  

The following are the suggested methods to possibly correct the issue. Please follow the steps below.

Method A. Update Windows

• Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Install all pending updates
  

Method B. Reset the Xbox App

• Go to Settings
  
• Click on Apps and Features
  
• Look for Xbox App and click on Advanced options
  
• Then select Reset
  

Method C. SFC Scan and DISM

• Go to search type CMD
  
• Run as administrator
  
• Type the following commands individually then hit enter
  
  Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
  
  Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
  
  Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
  
  sfc /SCANNOW
  .

The same thing does happen and I cannot install these games from the Microsoft store either. These games direct me to the Xbox App.

I'm logged in correctly to the Xbox Console Companion. I can actually launch my games from there and play games as expected. However, when I launch the Xbox App from the Xbox Console Companion I am still not logged in to the Xbox App and cannot install new games or play games from the Xbox App.
