I Cannot Get Xbox 360 Backwards Compatible Free Games?

Hi everyone. I have been having issues since day 1 with this. I cannot download any free Xbox 360 games on my Xbox One. I first tried through my Xbox One, and it said that it could not be purchased and to go to Xbox.com. I then found out that you have to
do it through the Xbox store, and not the console itself. But when I try through the Xbox store, it says that the purchase cannot be made and that I need to purchase it through my Xbox console. WHAT?!?

I keep getting told to download it here and there and it never works. I've tried contacting Microsoft but I am always disconnected from them. My settings show that I can make any purchase. I see no setting I have that shouldnt allow me to.

I have missed so many games because of this. I am really upset because I paid to be able to download these games, but doesn't work. I have had my Xbox One since December 2015 and have yet to download a Xbox 360 game for free. At least the games I am able
to download are usually good, so that makes me a little less upset but not completely.

Does anyone have a clue what is wrong? Or how to fix it?

Backward Compatibility

Every month I download 2 free games on Gold to my Xbox one, but, i cannot download the 360 games from Gold into my Xbox one for backward compatibility. How do i activate my Xbox One to start playing backward compatible 360 games.

Backwards Compatibility: No 360 Profile

So I have an Xbox One, and I have a backwards compatible Xbox 360 game (Deus Ex: Human Revolution) but I never owned an Xbox 360 Console and therefore cannot sign in or save my progress when playing a backwards compatible game. Is there a way around this?

There are a couple of things it could be. You do need a payment method (credit card or Paypal) on file in order to download 360 content from the One or website, even if it is free. If you are on a child account, you will have to use a 360 console in order
to download 360 content.

If you have a parental account you can have them buy the games for you as long as they aren't gold

What is the game you're trying to buy? If it's a backwards compatible title then you cannot use currency on your account to purchase it unless you're on an Xbox 360 console. Also, please be aware that not all backwards compatible titles are available
in all regions due to governmental restrictions. Although the Xbox One is a region free console this does not apply to backwards compatible titles

No. Xbox One games cannot be played on the 360.

360 games can be played on the One if they are backwards compatible.

Games with Gold Titles Included in Backward Compatibility

When backward compatibility launches in November, all future Xbox 360 Games with Gold titles will be playable on Xbox One. That means Xbox Live Gold members now will get more free games to play each month on Xbox One.

If you are talking about backwards compatibility then no those games are not on the list of backward compatible games. The xbox 360 discs that work on xbox one can be found here:

If you mean will you get the xbox one version of those games for free then no, you have to buy the xbox one version of the game.

I don't think any of the Xbox 360 Kinect games can be played on the Xbox One, because the

360 Kinect is not compatible with the Xbox One, but feel free to look the the list of

backwards compatible games anyway.
