    Why is setting up this console so difficult as even as difficult as getting to this freaking website! I am not tech savvy, however for the past 6 hours I have been trying to set up this XBOX One only to receive a message that my network is fine but there
    is some problem on their side. I have no idea what that is....the problem that is. However, I cannot access the menu and I have had to put in my network password over 20 times. It appears that this is a system wide problem because the screen with the error
    is on the webpage with some complicated solution regarding a special flash drive....really?...on Christmas Day I am going to run out and find a flash drive while having no technical experience with the XBOX One? If I don't get this resolved quickly, meaning
    if they don't send a technician to my house to fix this issue, I will be returning this clearly defected piece of junk and use my hard earned money to get a Playstation 4 for my 8 year old. Shame on you MicroSoft for disappointing my son on Christmas Day!

    100% packet loss?

    OK, this is now becoming extremely frustrating. My son cannot play online and cannot communicate with his friends over Xbox Live.

    COD Ghost update

    Finally able to install the update. But now the game won't load. Cannot get past the screen with the Ghost character. Very frustrating! :-(

    Having the same issue, I called and it seems they are having issues with the updates. I was told 72 hours. I agree with you as well, i bought this for my 8 year old son as well, and he is looking forward to playing the new games. As we wait, i guess the
    CEO's of microsofts children will be riding golden unicorns, while us hard working individules will be waiting for them to fix their issues. I am very tech savvy, do not use the usb route if you don't know what you are doing, and it wont fix the issue anyways.

    Same issue here as well. Said that (after three hours of waiting) the microsoft engineers are working to address the problem. May take a few hours he didnt tell me 72.

    Sorry to hear you are all experiencing this issue. When I got my system at launch the update took forever. This issue appears to be a different beast. I am experiencing the same with my daughters system as well. When all said and done everyone of you will
    enjoy the XBOX ONE.

    Hang in there. Merry Christmas , spend some time together and all will be good.

    Same here for 3 consoles!

    Didn't call cuz wait time was 224 minutes!

    Fingers crossed it's just because there are so many new consoles accessing the updates.

    Same issue. Can not update, network is fine, tried hard wired as well not luck geeeze. my son is upset but got busy on some of the other gifts. Very disappointing. humbug to MicroSoft.

    Having the same problem. This is very frustrating. I really hope Microsoft has some type of compensation plans for this extreme inconvenience. This really put a damper on the kids Christmas. Very bad service on such an important day!!

  12. It is 9:41 pm Pacific Time and we have been trying the updates for almost 12 hours now. My kids have been very disappointed that we need these updates to get the console working. Very frustrating. Without the updates, this XBOX 1 is junk. We may have
    to return this tomorrow and get a PS4 instead.
