I cannot download games off Xbox.com/Xbox Live store on my Xbox 360 console with Microsoft ...

I recently redeemed a $25 Xbox Live gift card, I tried to buy Minecraft but the only options on the Xbox Live store were:

-Add Payment Option

-Cancel

----------------------------------

-Add Payment Option:

-Add PayPal (I don't have a PP account)

-Add Credit Card (My family won't let me use their credit card)

-Redeem Code (I already redeemed it)

I do have $25 on my MSA, as it very clearly shows on my Payment & Billing information on Xbox.com. Yet even on xbox.com, the option to use my MSA funds to download something is not available. I have the funds but I can't download anything. What is the solution?

You can add Microsoft Points pre-paid codes by using the Xbox 360 console or by using Xbox.com.

Xbox 360 console

To enter a pre-paid Microsoft Points code by using the Xbox 360 Guide main menu, follow these steps:
Press the Xbox 360 Guide button, and then go to the Marketplace area.
Select Redeem Code.
Enter the 25-character pre-paid code.
To enter a Microsoft Points code by using the Add Points Wizard, follow these steps:
To access the Add Points Wizard, press the X button while you view any content description screen within the Game Marketplace or Video Marketplace areas or while you view the Memberships section in the Account Management area.
Select Redeem Prepaid Card.
Enter the 25-character pre-paid code.

Cant download Xbox 360 games

Whenever I try to download xbox 360 games from the store, (for example games with gold backwards compatibility) it will say to me that I cannot download the game from xbox.com and i need to download it from my xbox, even though i'm on the console. please
help

Well, I tried it from my Xbox too but it's the same exact thing. I can't use my MSA funds to buy it.

Um mm ms a funds is the default option. When you use the console

It will ask you if you want to use your ms a account

If you don't have a v

Balance it won't show.

Are you sure you entered the code ?

Did you migrate your account region? The currency is locked to the region you purchased it in

Currency doesn't transfer between regions

Yes, I did change my region. My friend bought it for me from Canada, and when I tried to redeem it, it said that the currency is different so I changed my region to Canada and I redeemed the code, it worked. When I enter my Payment & Billing information,
it says: "You have in your Microsoft Account: $25.00

My question is, why won't it let me purchase the game if I already have funds? Do I have to add credit card information EVEN if I have funds? I never entered credit card or PayPal information, do I have to?

What you did there is definitely not the solution. Did you change your LIVE region? If you did so, then you'll be facing many troubles in purchasing stuff on the Xbox Store. I did the same mistake, and I regret it. If you want to have full LIVE experience,
it's better to keep your account's region matching your physical one. The currencies are region locked. Meaning for example, you can't buy a gift code from Canada, and redeem it on a USA account, and a USA console. Because these are different currencies, you
can't use Canadian dollars to purchase stuff in the USA.

Okay, this helped me clear things up a bit. I live in Egypt, I contacted MS support and I was told to set my region to an Xbox Live-supported country if I want an Xbox Live subscription, so I did so, I set it to the US, and I only couldn't download Sleeping
Dogs when it was free with Xbox Gold, because my console's region is different from my LIVE region. I had to change my region to Canada because I can only use my MSA funds if the region matches the currency, right? So in this case, it's Canadian dollars. Why
aren't my MSA funds chosen as the method of payment then? I can't figure it out. Should I just let it go and start using a relative's credit card to purchase things? And if so, how will I? I live in Egypt, is EGP a supported currency?

Yes, as of what I've heard, EGP is supported. I think changing your LIVE region to get more experience is against some rules... It's best for you to keep your LIVE region same as your physical one, and get all your Xbox items from the region you live in.
If someone is going to gift you an Xbox code, it's better for this particular person to get you a Gold membership instead, because as of what I heard, Gold memberships are worldwide.

It is best to buy prepaid codes from you actual region

FYI to download region locked content and most games for gold games your account region must match your actual region

If you choose to do a region migration to your actual region Egypt

Your Canadian currency will not carry over

Prepaid codes like memberships and gift cards are region locked

Sleeping dogs is region locked
