I cannot connect to X box live because it's saying I don't have storage space to ...

It asks me to download the newest update, but when I do it tells me I don't have storage space, but I've installed a 16GB device that is shown under my storage. I've recently purchased a wireless adapter and it is able to connect to the internet. Somehow
it's not picking up that I have this storage space available when I try to download the newest update. Any help would be appreciated. I need to keep the kids busy this weekend!

trouble signing into xbox live/ update unable to download

When i turn on my xbox it says 'a system update is available from xbox live. if you decline you won't be able to connect to xbox live until you take the update.' When i click yes it says, you don't have enough storage space to take this update, please connect
an xbox 360 storage device with at least 190mb free space. Even though i have 120gb hard drive and know i have plenty of space. It also is not showing my hard drive or any games or profiles.

Xbox 360 has a new update that is required, and it says, "If you decline, you won't be able to connect to Xbox Live until you take the update...". Now I have tried to update it multiple times, but it wont let me because it says, "You don't have enough
storage space to take this update. Please connect an Xbox 360 storage device with at least 190 MB free space." I have a storage in my Xbox 360 hardware drive, and I had over 30 GB left which is more than enough to update the system. I tried to access my storage,
but when I do it says, "No storage devices found.", which is bogus because its in my Xbox 360 system. I'm kinda *** either way because they wont let me sign in, and then on top of that won't me access my storage at all because I think its linked with my Xbox
Live. My internet connection is perfectly fine by the way.

 

If I remember updates on the 360 have to go on the internal flash drive or a official Microsoft hard drive.

Sounds like your internal drive is full so just move some saves from that to your 16gb device to free up the space.

 

I bought one refurbished and I don't think it had any space. I guess it sounds like I have to buy a Microsoft Hard Drive. Thanks for the info

 

I get my updates for the 360 through the PC. You then can burn it to a cd and do update that way.

I have 4 360's in the house (kids). So it makes my life easier doing this.

 

Yeah but you still need the hard drive/memory space to install the updates.

 

I guess you would User should be able to use a Seagate 1TB USB drive for everything (better than buying a true 360 hard drive for the price). I had issues using flash drives on the 360.
