    I cannot change the birthdate for my Microsoft account


    Initially when I created my Microsoft account, I accidentally set my birthdate to the year 2011, when it was actually a year before 2004. So when I when to the URL account.microsoft.com, selected “Your info”, and then proceeded to edit my birthdate by selecting “Edit profile info” or the right arrow on the Date of birth rectangle, it let me edit all the info but the birthdate. It would not let me edit and change my birthdate at all. How can I edit my birthdate so I can set my birthdate to my actual birthdate before 2004? (because I am 18+ yrs old) I need to edit my age to an age > 18 so I will be able to play Minecraft PE multiplayer.

    While you may be able to change the birthdate shown on your Microsoft account profile, the Xbox account birthdate cannot be changed. The date that was entered when the account was created will always be the birthdate of the Xbox account. The Xbox account birthdate cannot be changed.

    Changing your Microsoft account birthdate does not carry over to your Xbox profile birthdate. Your Xbox profile birthdate cannot be changed.

    The birthdate that is set when creating an Xbox account is permanent. It cannot be changed. Changing the birthdate in your Microsoft account details does not change the date as far as Xbox is concerned.

    You can only change a child account to an adult account once the birthdate reaches 18.

    Just know that while you can change the birthdate that shows in your Microsoft account, the birthdate that you entered when creating an Xbox account cannot be changed. The Xbox account will always go by the date that was entered during account creation. This cannot be altered.

    My friend, you can be +18, but your account is not. So yes, you need a parent to help you with your account since your account does not have an adult age. Please follow the instructions on my first reply.
