I'm getting the same problem with DVD aspect ratio, although only on home made DVDs recorded on a toshiba DVD recorder. Bought DVDs play in the correct aspect ratio. I cannot find anything to change the aspect ratio anywhere, unlike the Xbox 360. Contacted
Microsoft through chat, and got a link to display settings for......xbox360! Not a lot of help there. The fact that no ones replied to you since for 2 weeks implies that Microsoft are either ignoring this or know there's a problem but can't/won't fix it. Poor

I have the same issue with aspect ratio. Some DVDs play with a 16:9 aspect ratio, but for some reason others play with a 4:3 ratio. The DVDs which play with a 4:3 ratio on the Xbox One play with a 16:9 ratio on the Xbox 360. The issue is not with the TV
and there are no options on the Xbox one to change the ratio manually. To me this looks like a like a bug or a missing feature. If anyone knows of a way around this I would love to know how.

I'm sorry, it captures from the frame buffer, and the resolution you're using is a 4:3 aspect ratio. I suggest that you use a 16:9 aspect ratio if that's important to you. 1280x720 should be fine

@Wycked: i am pretty sure you can change your aspect ratio after going into game mode. so look for the aspect ratio option in game mode.

On Xbox 360 I can adjust the aspect ratio in settings. I cannot find how to do this on the Xbox one.
