    I cannot be heard in Xbox live party chat, but I can hear others and gameplay, adapter...


    I use a headset adapter for my Xbox one headset. When I am in a party, it says I have a mic connected, and the mic icon is in the top right of my home screen. But, I can hear others but they cannot hear me. All my privacy settings are set correctly,
    and the adapter seems to be working as it should as the “mute mic” button lights up when pressed, and if I turn up game/person volume the noise of “max volume” is heard in my headset. I just bought a brand new pair of apple headphones, and the mic works on
    my phone 100%. I have no idea what could be causing this as it is happening on both my Xbox one controllers.

    Hi Austin,

    You can try contacting the game developers for more information about their in-game chat issues, but as I said previously, Xbox Live party chats effectively mutes in-game chat from being heard in the party. If you are recording the gameplay from your Xbox,
    the streaming program will not pick up in-game chat because in-game chat cannot be heard when in an Xbox Live party. In an Xbox Live party, you will not be able to hear other players in the game lobby unless you invite those player into the party. Other players
    will also not be able to hear you in-game while you are in an Xbox Live party. This is by design and not an issue and I don't think there is a setting to change that. You can test this by trying another communication program like Discord.

    A few things you can try:

    • Check to make sure you don't have an Xbox Enforcement (Communication ban): https://enforcement.xbox.com/en-US
    • Check to see if your controller needs to be
      updated      .
    • Check your settings.
      • Specifically, check the Communication & multiplayer settings by going to
        Settings > Account > Privacy & Online safety > Xbox live Privacy > View details & Customize > Communication & Multiplayer

    Have you checked at the XBLET site to see if yoiu have an active suspension.
