I cannot access most things in the Xbox One OS

Discus and support I cannot access most things in the Xbox One OS in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I can access the power menu, start up animation, and see the account "Hi, please log in via XYZ" message.     I cannot access most things in the Xbox One OS


    I can access the power menu, start up animation, and see the account "Hi, please log in via XYZ" message. I have power cycled 5 times, to no avail.

    Hi! My name is Pam. I'm an Independent Advisor and I'll be glad to help you today.

    So the first thing we need to do is check and see if you can bring up the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter. Try doing this for me:

    Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in. Press and hold the SYNC button and the EJECT button, and then press the Xbox button on the console. Continue holding the SYNC and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the SYNC and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

    When the console powers up, you will see the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter. Please select reset then keep games and apps. No worries, no games will be removed, just sign back in using the right account.

    1. First things first you cannot take out the hard drive.
    2. you cannot access the OS its in the inter-workings of the console and cannot be accessed from the interface
    3. you can buy an EXTERNAL hardrive

    Welcome back brother! One thing I think Microsoft is getting right is listening to feedback and updating the OS on the Xbox One accordingly and on a regular basis too. While the PS4's OS is easy to navigate, Sony could update their OS a bit more often with
    feedback from their fanbase.

    For me though like CosmicThought, I tend to use the Xbox One more often because most of my friends are on that platform.
