I cancelled my Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription but all it did was take away my Gold...

Last month, I bought the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate using the £1 deal as I wanted to try it out. A month goes by and I loved the pass completely but due to monetary issues, I wanted to downgrade back to
the normal Xbox Live Gold subscription; I got billed the full £10.99 on the 27th as I forgot to turn off auto-renewal and an hour after it billed me (the transaction was still pending)
I cancelled it, but all it did was turn off auto-renewal and remove my Xbox Live Gold benefits. I tried to cancel it again but it did the same as before. Now it's billed me for the full £10.99
and kept me with the gamepass, but it has removed my Gold privileges from me (I can still download games for free and claim perks, but I can't play online or talk to my friends.) What do I do? Screenshot below for proof.
