I cancelled my games pass ultimate but got charged for it

i was charged a payment of 15.89 this morning for game pass ultimate. but my subscription was canceled and i don’t see the charge in my order history

If I don't like the game pass ultimate can I cancel the Ultimate or would I be charged for 36 months?

I'm talking about a one month's worth of regular game pass being upgraded to ultimate if I just bought regular game pass 3 days ago and changed my mind that I wanted to upgrade to game pass ultimate why wouldnt they just charge me the difference which if regular game pass is 12 dollars after tax and ultimate is 18 why wouldnt I just be charged 6 dollars or why cant they cancel the regular game pass charge or refund it and charge me the 18 for the ultimate instead ..itd would be absolutely dumb to of just paid 12 dollars three days ago for regular game pass and then if I want to upgrade be charged a whole new 18 dollars to upgrade

Not if you bought Game Pass Ultimate and not just Game Pass. As previously stated in this thread, if you bought Game Pass Ultimate, the Gold you had purchased would have been converted to Ultimate as well since it includes Gold, which would have given you a year of Ultimate. Since your Gold was cancelled in order to convert it, cancelling Game Pass Ultimate cancels everything. In those cases, you want to just turn off auto-renewal. That allows you to keep the full subscription time you paid for without charging you again.
