i cancelled my game pass subscription and now i can’t play games i own

bear in mind that some games require you to pay for xbox Live, even if you're already bought the game.... and even if that game is free to play after purchase everywhere else.... it's basically an xbox tax...

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We see you have issue with accessing a game. This is a known glitch, all you need to do is uninstall and reinstall the game as it still thinks its a game pass game. Have had to do this with a few games that left game
pass that I own.

i did find away round this, does not always work, if your games are on an external drive, then go settings, power, full shutdown, unplug ext hdd, start xbox and wait, once games area loads and only shows whats on the internal drive plug your external back
in, wait for it to repopulate and then it should work.

If you do Pay for the game while you have the subscription, you now own the game. So yes, If you do decide to cancel your Subscription in the future the game will still be yours to play. It is only when you download it for Free using the
game pass that it will be removed if you do cancel the subscription.
