I can view messages sent to me but can't respond to any of the messages

Discus and support I can view messages sent to me but can't respond to any of the messages in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I can receive all messages but when i try to respond im met with "Messenging is not working, try this." to a messaging trouble shooter that has proved...     I can view messages sent to me but can't respond to any of the messages


    I can receive all messages but when i try to respond im met with "Messenging is not working, try this." to a messaging trouble shooter that has proved to be of no use. Any help would be appreciated.

    I can't hear my friends in party chat and I can't respond to any messages?!

    I can't hear my friends in party chat and I can't respond to any messages. Whenever I try to respond to a message it says I cannot respond because of past behavior, but I don't recall doing anything! Normally I'm just muted and only talk to my friends
    when I find it necessary. Can someone please help me be able to hear/talk to/and message my friends?

    Folks, y'all need to calm down. The profile "Live" did not send any messages.

    When you view any message on your console or xbox.com you have the option to view the profile that sent it, that option does not exist with the message in question. Why? Because it was not sent by an individual, it was sent by the
    Live system itself and therefore no profile exists. This is also why you can't view the message at xbox.com, any message sent by an individual can be viewed on the website and the console.

    You can see here that the message I sent has an actual profile attached but the "live" one does not.

    Now op, if you can view the profile from the message then you have a possible scammer and should file a complaint via your console.

    If you still have the message consider posting a screen shot if possible.

    'glad' to see it's not just me then. I can recieve messages from people but can't reply. Just sent a message to a friend it seemed like it got sent but i didn't see any confirmation.

    Why they never put a sent messages folder onto the system we`ll never know. Just seems a really obvious thing to do.

    As sometimes it can be a week or two before a friend replies to a message and I can`t remember what message I sent to them in the first place!

    Conversations work like text on a cell phone. As far as I can tell it stays till you delete the convo. Not sure if theres a cap on how far back a conversation can go
