Discus and support I can use xbx one Kinect how microphone in game chat lobby? in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Hi , i try to use a kinect to speak in game lobby, but not work (for example COD:advance warafare and other), i'ts my error or is impossible?!...     I just got a headset and was using that using the mic on the Xbox Kinect.

    Hello LAPIII,

    Of course you can, to disable the Kinect microphone go to:

    # Settings

    # Select Kinect

    # Uncheck 'Use Kinect microphone for chat.'

    Voice commands will also work with the "Kinect microphone being off".

    how to setup kinect as your microphone?

    We only have one headset between two users at the moment and would like to use the kinect for a microphone in party chat and game chat for the second user. How can we set it up so I can hear the voice of those in a party or in game chat through the tv speakers
    and I can speak through the kinect.

    Finding the dashboard system very unintuitive.

    Thanks for any help.

    I think that has to do with the game you are playing. I believe that most games have that disabled for multiple reasons. You can use the Kinect in party chat though!

    Turning on party chat Lowers TV Volume Drastically

    I only notice this phenomenon when the Kinect is selected to be used as a microphone for chat. Can you double check your settings and be sure its unchecked "Use Kinect microphone for chat" screen shots here:

    having problems with headset in xboxone chat ?

    It does not force you to use the kinect for chat. You can turn your kinect off as a microphone by going to settings and selecting kinect and deselect the microphone option
