  2. Family Account - See in Microsoft But Not in Xbox

I'm trying to manage my child's Xbox account. I can see the account in the Microsoft family but not the xbox family (which I assumed was a subset of the Microsoft family account).

We don't own an xbox one or have an xbox live account, but we play games through the xbox app on windows 10.

Xbox screen time in weekly activity report email not matching screen time in recent usage

    Hi,

I receive a weekly activity report email showing my child's screen time per day on the xbox. I can also see my child's screen time within the Recent Activity section of my child's profile within my Microsoft family account. The problem is that the data
sometimes doesn't match, i.e. for a given day the email will show one value but the recent activity within my account will show another.

Has anyone else experienced this issue and know how to resolve it?

    Thanks,

    Jason

    Error code 0x80a40403

hi there i would suggest if the steps below dont work head over to https://support.xbox.com/ and chat to an advisor there to walk you through the steps in the mean time

If you’re receiving this error code when trying to sign in with a child account, it may mean that the child account isn’t a member of your family.

Child accounts that aren’t members of a family won’t be able to use the Xbox Live service until they’ve been added to a family. To verify whether the child account is a member of your family, sign in to your Microsoft account and see if the child’s
account is listed on the Your family page.

    Sign in to your account

If the child account is a member of your family, go to the next solution. If the child account isn’t a member of your family, you’ll need to add them so they can sign in and use Xbox Live. For info, see:

Add family members on Xbox One

    or

Make sure that your privacy settings are set so that the child account can sign in. To do so, have the child sign in to their account at www.xbox.com. Then, when prompted, the adult account associated with the child account should sign in to www.xbox.com
and give permission for the child account to sign in to Xbox Live.

    Transfer Parent's GamerTag to Child

    Hi LauraQ0220,

Thank you for posting on the Microsoft forums.

Every person, adult or child, should have their own Microsoft account (email) when using any Microsoft services, including Xbox Live. When creating a child Microsoft account using their correct age, and then adding it to an Xbox console to create an Xbox
Live profile, the profile will automatically set default privacy restrictions for the age of the child. Then, the parent can add the child to a

    Microsoft Family
and use the many features of parental control to monitor what your child does on Xbox Live, set content restrictions, ask to buy, set time limits, and manage privacy settings.

It's very important to create a
    child Microsoft account
for a child when they want to use Xbox Live so that a child is not using someone else's account besides their own, which can be monitored through Microsoft Family parental controls. Creating a child account for the child when they
first want to use Xbox Live, with restrictions suitable for the age you enter, is how you would prevent this situation from occurring.

Unfortunately, Microsoft cannot transfer Gamertags from one account to another and I don't see that changing because there are many features in place so that a parent is not forced to give their child access to their own Microsoft account.

Can I, and if so, how do I enable live streaming for my teenage son?

Hello, My name is David. I am an independent advisor, happy to help you today.

If you want to enable live streaming for your teen on an Xbox Series S using Twitch and you have parental controls set up in Microsoft Family, here's how you can do it:

Make sure you have an adult account: To enable live streaming for your child, you must have an adult account in Microsoft Family. If you don't already have an adult account, you can create one by following the instructions on the Microsoft website.

Access Microsoft Family settings: Sign in to your adult account and access Microsoft Family settings. This can be done through the Microsoft website or through the Xbox Family Settings app.

Add your child to the family: If you haven't already added your teen to the Microsoft Family, you'll need to do so. Follow the instructions provided on the Microsoft website or in the Xbox Family Settings app to add your child to your family.

Set up content restrictions: In Microsoft Family settings, make sure content restrictions are set appropriately to allow live streaming. Verify that "Allow live streams" is enabled for your child's account.

Check privacy settings on Twitch: In addition to settings in Microsoft Family, you may also need to adjust privacy settings on your child's Twitch account. Make sure the privacy and security options on Twitch allow live streaming for your account.

If you've followed all the steps above and your child is still receiving an error message when trying to set up live streaming, there may be a specific technical or configuration issue.

Please remember that live streaming may be subject to age and privacy restrictions, and it is important to make sure your child is compliant and has appropriate supervision while live streaming.

Thank you for your kindness and understanding! Please feel free to let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards.

I have a family account with microsoft ( all outlook ), but i don`t see them in xbox live.

    Hi,

How to add family members into your family: Sign in here Account Microsoft -> Family -> ADD CHILD OR ADULT

Note: only adults can add or remove accounts from family.

    Happy Gaming!

I already have done that, but i just can`t see them in mine xbox live profile :( i also checked if mine personal settings are correct. but now i havent got any clue what to do.

You have to clarify on what you mean, you cannot see their accounts/gamertags? be able to login to them? on your friends list?

First when i login with mine account in the family page i can see mine 2 childeren and my wife, i already added them.

Then when i log into xbox account and go to xbox preferences, --> privacy settings i only see mine gamertag.

When i log into 1 of my childeren accounts, i see the family page on microsoft, but when i go to xbox preferences i see the profile of mine child, but when i go to privacy, then i got a page with 2 error codes.

and the browser page is called "www.xbox.xom/nl-NL/my-account/manage-gamertag-and-profile/add-child-to-family-account-online"

But i can see them on the family page of microsoft, i can`t solve this problem.
