I used to have it although upgrading to xbox one s I have seem to lost it.

Hi

If you are receiving multiple updates in a week it sounds like your console is in the Xbox Insiders program.

Can you please confirm if you are in the Insiders Program (Formerly Xbox Preview program)?

Yep I'm in the stupid Insiders Program but I've never had three updates since being in the program and I've been in it since the 360 so this is something I've never seen before.

Hopefully you should have the Xbox Insider Hub app sitting in your waiting to install list. All you then need to do is download this app and then use it to enrol your new console in the program.

 

thank you - I have done and nothing has happened... i.e. is know stupid but to enroll your new console what do you have to? just in case I've missed something

if you have already done this and enrolled using the app on the console then you will just need wait and your console should eventually receive the update.

 

Try a hard reset by holding the power button for 5 seconds and the restarting...

 

I've tried this and no luck - in my devices within the insider program I can't add a console? - its completely blank. any ideas?

I don't wish to hijack this thread but i have a similar issue.

I have 2 Xbox One consoles both enrolled in the Preview programme, because only one of them can get the latest Alpha release Xbox No1 was the one that got the update.

Last night another update rolled out and when i booted it up this morning i was presented with an error screen, resetting the console kept taking me to the same screen.

Speaking to the Xbox Help support (thanks Ace .J) was useful and they suggested i restore the console to the factory defaults. so i had a clean console (kept my apps) but lost profiles and game saves etc.

Then i went into the update section in the settings menu and i couldn't update to the latest release.... strange i thought so i went into the Xbox Insider Hub to check what was going on and found that within the Insider content section i no longer had the
"Xbox One Update Preview" in the System section. checking in the "settings - manage devices" section of the xbox insider app and low and behold i now only have 1 console in the list, and that was Xbox No2.

So it seems that by restoring the Xbox One back to the factory defaults it has kicked me out of the Preview programme on that console. This is surely a bug.

I can provide the full transcript i had with the Support technician and the serial numbers of my consoles.

The last thing that the technician said was tht it could take 24/48 hours for the update to the app to show up, but just looking on my Xbox No2 only shos 1 console doesn't ill me with confidence as why would resetting the console remove me from the preview
programme? surely that information is serverside?

I've been in the preview program for a year and a half, and this is the most frustrating thing i've encountered so far.

I have the Error number that the Xbox presented me with too, started with E203.
